Cronos: The New Dawn Gets Its First Story DLC, “Lazarus,” on December 3

Cronos DLC

Fans of Cronos: The New Dawn have something to look forward to. The game’s first DLC, Cronos: Lazarus, is coming on December 3. The team announced it today on the game’s official X account.

Where can you play it?

On launch day, Lazarus will be available on:

  • Steam
  • Epic Games Store
  • GOG
  • PS5
  • Xbox Series X|S

Nintendo Switch 2 players will have to wait a bit longer. That version is planned for Q1 2027, which means anytime between January and March next year. No exact date has been shared yet.

What do we know about the story?

Not much, and the team is keeping it that way. The announcement ended with a short line: “Defy the Calling. Bring her back.” It suggests the DLC will be about saving or recovering someone, but who “her” is hasn’t been explained. A 1:23 trailer was posted with the announcement, though the team hasn’t shared the plot or new gameplay details in writing.

  • What we still don’t know
  • How long the DLC is
  • Whether it adds new enemies, weapons or areas
  • The price
  • Whether you need to finish the main game first

Until the studio shares more, treat anything beyond the official post as a guess.

Releasing on PC, PlayStation and Xbox on the same day is good news for most players. Switch 2 owners will have to wait a few more months, but at least a release window is confirmed. With a little over a month to go, more details should show up soon.
