AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPU Design & New Cooling System Showcased

AMD Radeon RX 6000 Graphics Card Design

The presentation of the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series is scheduled for October 28, but it seems that the Sunnyvale company didn’t want to wait any longer to show the new cooling system that will use the reference design of this new generation.

As we can see in the image above, the new cooling system that the AMD Radeon RX 6000 will use is not bad in terms of design. The touch of red on the side looks pretty good, but it seems that the letters “R” on the fans and the touch of silver in the central area load the whole thing too much, and that the end result would be better without those two elements.

As for the cooling system itself, we see a classic and conservative approach by AMD, as the company has chosen to mount a large radiator and three fans. The new Radeon graphics card with the new cooling is very long, but only takes up two slots for expansion cards.

At the moment, it is not known which models are presented in the manufacturer’s visualization (the new cooling will most likely appear in several models). For some, the new design may resemble the Radeon HD 7990 cooling system.

In addition to the image of the AMD Radeon RX 6000 that the company has published on social networks, we have also seen a round of screenshots of the said graphics card in Fortnite, a game that the Sunnyvale company is using to promote its new GPU solutions. You can check the images below (to enlarge the pictures, click on it).

Four image outputs are available that show: two DisplayPort, one HDMI, and one USB type C, and the PSU port is provided by two 8-pin PCIe sockets (which may suggest that we are dealing with one of the top models).
