AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT, Ryzen 5 3600XT CPUs Sale

AMD introduced the Matisse Refresh processors a few weeks ago, and today they all the 3 CPUs are available on sale in accordance with the schedule. There are three models: the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900XT, the 8-core Ryzen 7 3800XT, and the 6-core Ryzen 5 3600XT.

New items, in fact, are offered at the price of conventional models with the X index, but operate at a higher frequency (plus 100-200 MHz depending on the model).

The base frequency of the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900XT is 3.8 GHz, the maximum is 4.7 GHz. For comparison, the Ryzen 9 3900X has 3.8-4.6 GHz. The official retail price of the Ryzen 9 3900XT in the United States is $500, but the Ryzen 9 3900X on some online stores can also be bought for $400.

The 8-core Ryzen 7 3800XT is a direct competitor to the Core i7-10700K. It operates at a frequency of 3.8-4.7 GHz, and the price is $400. But the Ryzen 7 3800X can be bought in the U.S. and for $300.

Finally, the potentially most popular of the three is the Ryzen 5 3600XT. This model has 6 cores with a frequency of 3.8-4.5 GHz and acts as a direct opponent of the Intel Core i5-10600K. The price for this CPU is $250.

All three processors are compatible with all X570 and B550 motherboards. Specifically, AMD claims that any board with support for 3000 series processors will boot with new XTs, which means that the processors will work even on some boards with 300 series chipsets. This should not be surprising because apart from better clock speed there are no additional changes in CPU performance.
