Garmin Launches Bounce 2 Kids Smartwatch with Location Tracking and Easy Communication

Bounce 2

Garmin has launched the Bounce 2, a new smartwatch made just for kids that helps parents keep track of their child’s location and stay in touch without needing a full smartphone. This updated version builds on the original Bounce watch from 2022, adding more features to make it fun and safe for young users.

The Bounce 2 lets kids call and send text messages to approved contacts, like parents or family, right from their wrist. Parents can check real-time location updates through the Garmin Jr. app on their phone, setting up safe zones that send alerts if the child leaves an area. It also has built-in games, sports tracking for activities like running or biking, and even supports downloading songs from Amazon Music for listening during playtime.

The watch has a bright, colorful touchscreen that’s easy to use, with voice commands to control it hands-free. It connects using LTE for independent use, without needing to pair with a parent’s phone all the time. The battery lasts up to two days on a full charge, and it comes in three color choices: black, white, and teal.

Priced at $299.99, the Bounce 2 is available now on Garmin’s website and at stores. It’s designed for kids aged 6 to 12, offering a simple way to encourage activity while keeping safety first. Parents can manage settings through the app, approving contacts and monitoring usage.

Garmin says the Bounce 2 is a great step before kids get their first phone, combining fun tools like step counters and reminders with peace-of-mind features. Early reviews praise its durability and kid-friendly design, making it a solid choice for families looking for connected wearables.
