AMD has finally confirmed that it will be launching soon a new generation of Ryzen processors, which are significantly more powerful than the current ones, but the customer will also pay extra for it. However, along with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, there should be one unannounced cheap alternative: Ryzen 5 5600 CPU.
AMD itself has announced a total of four Ryzen 5000 processor models, and while we can expect more to come, the opening batch, ready for sale in early November, will include the cheapest Ryzen 5 5600X model at $299. If everything goes well, there will be enough new CPUs on the market.
AMD is thus continuing its current tactic, in which it is launching more expensive models of next-generation processors, while at the same time continuing to offer the older ones, whose price is gradually falling, and they are thus falling behind an unspecified low-end. And according to unwarranted reports, a potentially very interesting model should arrive early next year: the Ryzen 5 5600.
Now, as we can see by the Twitter user @hakuraze5719, it seems that the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 would be available for a price of $220 dollars in early 2021, so that users who want a relatively inexpensive way to access the AMD’s new architecture, you will be able to do this through the Ryzen 5 range with the 5600.
Although the same prices are not maintained as with the previous generation, it is true that the jump from $199 to $220 dollars is not too big, especially with the aforementioned comparison of the $199 dollars of the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 to the $299 dollars of the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.
At the end of the tweet, the performance of the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is also discussed, which is apparently similar or even better than the Intel Core i7 10700. The Ryzen 5 5600X is a 6-core (6C/12T) processor with a 3.7 to 4.6 GHz clock that could handle a few hundred megahertz extras, but we’ll see. Its gaming performance is said to surpass even the Core i7-10700 with eight cores, and it looks like a suitable choice with a still reasonable price. And the Ryzen 5 5600 could be even better, in terms of performance and price.
