Battlefield 2042 Update 1.48 Patch Notes

  • Squad Spectator Modifier for Battlefield Portal: This update introduces a feature that allows players to spectate their Squad Mates after dying, before re-entering the deploy screen, similar to the experience within Hazard Zone. Additionally, it includes an option to disable the redeploy button on the Spectator screen, enabling “One-Life” or “Tactical Squad” modes while still allowing for squad spectating.
  • AI, Soldier, and General Improvements: A new Crossplay Status Indicator is now visible in the Main Menu for players who have Crossplay turned off. The update also extends the Personal Player color functionality to more HUD elements, allowing players to set their own color within the Options > HUD section, making it visible only to themselves.
  • Gadgets & Specialists Fixes: The update addresses several issues, including misaligned player hitboxes when mounted on Crawford’s Vulcan, visibility issues with SOFLAM lock-on against vehicles, improved sticking of C5 to vehicles, prevention of APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel intercepting Smoke Grenades, and fixes for Tracer Darts and SG-36 Sentry Gun targeting issues.
  • Battlefield Portal Enhancements: New math blocks for commonly used tasks within Custom Experiences have been added, including conversions between degrees and radians, rounding functions, and a constant block for Pi, facilitating calculations related to circumferences and areas of circles.
  • Weapons Adjustments: Fixes include visual issues with empty magazines in the SVK, rendering issues with the carry handle of the VHX-D3, texturing issues on the P90 magazine, minor stat fixes for low-magnification sights, and alignment fixes for various scopes and magazines.
  • Vehicle Changes: The update addresses issues related to Vehicle Systemic Damage and EMP interactions, adds Air Radar access to the EBAA Wildcat (with customizable range settings), prevents manual reloading of the EMKV90-TOR Canister Coax, corrects mismatched replenish icons and weapon replenishment for Battlefield Portal vehicles, and improves damage interactions with air vehicles and skyscrapers on Hourglass, along with reducing the magnet effect for helicopters close to the ground.

These changes aim to enhance the gameplay experience in Battlefield 2042 by fixing known issues, improving balance and interactions, and introducing new features for greater customization and tactical gameplay.
