Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Canceled Campaign Mode Gameplay Leaked

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Canceled Campaign Mode Gameplay

Although Activision has not yet announced the next installment in the Call of Duty series, apparently it seems that a new chapter or a spin-off of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 from Treyarch was later canceled.

According to reports, a Reddit user has shared what seems to be the first game gameplay footage of the campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 which was later canceled. This title was released in October 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and for the first time ever in the history of any Call of Duty series, there was no single-player mode in the game, in favor there are three online modes.

You can check the leaked gameplay video of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 campaign mode below:

Treyarch has often said that for Black Ops 4 the team was focusing on a connected online experience, even though many described the campaign as too ambitious and thus it was canceled due to development problems. In the 2 minutes gameplay footage above, you can see an alpha version of the campaign with some inconsistent performance showing that the mode was still in its early stages of development. We’ll see if parts of this single-player mode aren’t actually implanted in the next chapter coming out in 2020.

In any case, recently it was leaked that the new episode in the series should in fact be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and which will take place in the years of the Cold War (with a lot of direct connections with the saga of Black Ops, sharing the same narrative universe).
