Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 will receive free current-gen updates in 2023. this free update will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC systems, the dev announced. The update will add new technical features, improved framerates, and bug fixes. Additionally, Bethesda has promised bonus Creation Club content. But Bethesda has not said when the game will launch on these systems.
According to Bethesda’s official website, the free update for Fallout 4 will include new performance features, quality features for 4K resolution gameplay, and bug fixes. The update will also include a free Creation Club content download. Interestingly, Fallout 4 is already optimized for Xbox Series X and S through FPS Boost settings. While it’s impossible to say exactly what changes will come with the upcoming update, it’s a good sign for players looking for an upgrade.
The original Fallout game was released in 1997. Since then, the series has evolved from a single-player game to a first-person shooter. More recently, Bethesda has also released Fallout Shelter, a management simulation game. The studio has also been working on Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI.
In addition to the new game, Bethesda has announced an anniversary update for the game. The update will also include a free Halloween event called the shitch swarm. Players can also participate in the event by visiting the Atomic Store on October 25. Additionally, players can claim the 25th Anniversary Bundle on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
