A new report has emerged which reveals that Gigabyte, the Taiwanese company could launch as many as five new laptops designs. All the new laptops are expected to feature Intel’s brand new 12th Gen Core CPUs and NVIDIA’s latest RTX 30 Ti laptop GPUs. All these new laptops are expected to be announced by Gigabyte at the upcoming CES 2022 event.
The report comes from some reliable sources via VideoCardz. The source has also shared pictures of two upcoming laptops, namely AORUS 17 E-Series (12th Gen) and AERO 17 (a successor to the Tiger Lake AERO 17 series).
AORUS 17 2022
First up you can see the image of the upcoming AORUS 17 E-Series (12th Gen) laptop for next year. According to the report, the AORUS 17 E-Series laptops will be available in DDR4 and DDR5 models. The report further states that the older DDR4 model will feature up to Intel Core i7-12700H CPU and up to RTX 3080 Ti GPU. While on the other hand, the DDR5 model is expected to feature up to Core i9-12900HK and RTX 3080 Ti with 105-130W TGP.
The report also talks about the resolution of the upcoming laptops, where, AORUS 17 E-Series laptops will feature up to a 4K (3840×2160) resolution with a mini-LED IPS display with up to 120 Hz. Notably, this would be a high-end display, that will also come with DisplayHDR1000 certification with (peak brightness over 1000 nits).
Gigabyte AERO 17/16 Series 2022
Coming to the Gigabyte AERO 17/16 Series, this will see a significant upgrade, where the 15-inch version will be replaced with a 16-inch model, making it the biggest upgrade for the laptop. The display on the AERO 17/16 Series laptops will be manufactured by Samsung and will offer up to 3840×2600 resolution, (DisplayHDR500, 100% DCI-P3). There is also a version with 2560×1600 Mini-LED (DisplayHDR 1000, 100 DCI-P3, and 165Hz refresh rate).
As per the report, the Gigabyte AERO 17/16 Series laptops will feature up to Core i9-12900HK CPU and RTX 3080 Ti/3070Ti GPU, both limited to 105W.
