The Mini PC Users should be happy to hear the confirmation from Gigabyte company that its new Gigabyte BRIX extreme will be priced economically despite its advanced features and faster processor. As per confirmation, it will launch at the beginning of 2022. Well, so many new devices coming up in 2022, I can hardly wait a few days and 2022 is surely expected to bring some excitement for Business entities involved in the technology business. The teaser was released in May 2021 and processor AMD Ryzen 72700U APU will be available as per information together with a host of ports and dual-channel SO-DIMM RAM.
Expect a lot of ports with BRIX Extreme
Well, as expected, the new model will be faster with Ryzen 3 5300U, Ryzen 5 5500U, or Ryzen 7 5700U. Ryzenis a brand of multi-core x86-64 microprocessors designed and marketed by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) for desktop, mobile, server, and embedded platforms based on the Zen microarchitecture. Hence, the ports included are as under:

- 1x 2.5 Gbps Ethernet
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DC-in
- 2x HDMI
- 1x lock slot
- 1x USB Gen2 Type-C
- 1x USB Type-C Gen2 with DisplayPort Alt Mode
As of now, Gigabyte has listed eight models on its website which support up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM through two SO-DIMM Slots. There is also M.2 2280 slot is onboard for up to a PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD.
For the pricing part, there is still no confirmation but it is surely expected to be cheaper than its competitors in the market. Gigabyte is the main alternative for techies other than Intel which has been a major producer of Mini PCS.
This is Gigabyte’s first BRIX series based on the AMD Ryzen 5000U series of APUs and three different options will be available, in the shape of the R3-5300U, R5-5500U, and the R7-5700U.
