Nightsky RX 15 Laptop With 16TB SSD Can Cost More Than $11,900

Nightsky RX 15 Laptop

Eurocom has shared the details of its new laptop for gamers, the Nightsky RX 15, a beast that in addition to having good hardware that also bets on being the laptop with the largest SSD storage capacity in the world.

In total, this Nightsky RX 15 can be equipped with up to 16TB of SSD storage, which according to the brand is a world record in a “lightweight” laptop like this with a weight of about 2.49 kilograms, a weight that is less than that of some models but that is being forgotten with the latest generations of laptops.

Whether or not it is a world record, the truth is that the 16TB SSD is a large amount of storage available for a laptop to play or perform different tasks although, unfortunately, its price is prohibitive for most players.

And, to equip the laptop with 16TB SSD we will need to configure it with two Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4 TB ($2,083 per unit) and with a Micron 5100 Enterprise 8TB whose price is $3,945. That is, in storage, we would already invest a whopping $8,111.

In addition to giving us the option of this large amount of storage, this Nightsky RX 15 can also be configured with other top-of-the-range components such as the following:

  • Processor: Intel Core i9-9980HK CPU
  • RAM: 64GB DDR4-2666
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
  • Storage: 16 TB SSD
  • WiFi Adapter: Killer Wi-Fi 6
  • OS: Windows 10 Professional

The cost of the laptop listed here with its top-of-the-range parts (with the exception of RAM) is $11,967, something that can be greatly reduced if we bet on 16 GB of RAM and 500 GB of SSD. In fact, in addition to the internal components, one of the best features of this laptop is its 15.6″ OLED display with 4K resolution and 600 nits of brightness.

Beyond this ambitious laptop for a wealthy audience and the “exaggeration” of the 16TB SSD that can be carried, the truth is that SSD storage units are an important part of the future of the new PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles for its higher reading and writing speeds that allow loading times to be minimized among other issues.
