E3 2020 was officially canceled. As you can imagine, the companies that had plans to show news at the event are not going to stand idly by. One of them is Xbox, who had already confirmed what its plans are after the cancellation of E3 2020.
Through a Twitter post, Phil Spencer, Xbox boss, revealed that E3 has always been very important to the Xbox team. This is why they are not planning to stand idly and will replace it with a digital event focused on the brand.
At the moment, Spencer has been unable to reveal more details about what the Xbox team is planning for their digital presentations. That being said, we are expected to have more details in the coming weeks.
“E3 has always been an important moment for Team Xbox. Given this decision, this year we’ll celebrate the next generation of gaming with the @ Xbox community and all who love to play via an Xbox digital event. Details on timing and more in the coming weeks,” Spencer explained.

Without a doubt, the cancellation of E3 2020 must have fallen like a bucket of ice water. After all, the company had shown tremendous commitment to the event.
In case you have not been aware of the news, we want to tell you that the idea of Microsoft was to take advantage of the attention that E3 2020 generates to show some of the products that they are preparing at Xbox Game Studios.
