NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080, & RTX 3070 Technical Specifications Leaked

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

The new graphics cards of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series are getting closer and closer and today we can discover some important details about the 3 most powerful versions of the video cards. Thanks to the information leaked, the main technical specifications of the RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and even the RTX 3070 have been revealed.

The three GPUs are expected to arrive by the end of next month and will be based on the GeForce RTX Ampere architecture, which introduces the second generation of the core dedicated to ray tracing, the third generation Tensor Cores, support for HDMI 2.1 output and DisplayPort 1.4a, in addition to adopting the PCI Express 4.0 standard.

These are the main features in common, but going into detail we discover that the RTX 3090 – whose price could be very highis equipped with 24GB of GDDR6X video memory with the 384-bit bus (maximum bandwidth from 936 GB/s), has 5,248 CUDA core and is powered with a dual 8-pin connector. In short, it seems to be a real power monster.

Immediately below we can find the RTX 3080, which maintains the GDDR6X type memory, even if it goes to only 10GB (it seems that there is also a 20GB variant) with the 320-bit bus (760 Gb/s of bandwidth) and 4,352 CUDA core. Also in this case there is the double connector for the 8-pin power supply.

Finally, we can also find the first information on the RTX 3070, which looks like a medium-high range proposal with 8GB of GDDR6 memory (not GDD6X) which should reach a speed of about 16Gbps. There are no additional details for this card, other than the 220W TGP. We just have to wait for more information.
