Path of Exile 1 is introducing the Legacy of Phrecia event, kicking off on Thursday, February 20 (PST). This special event brings 19 brand-new Ascendancy classes, the Idol system, and exclusive rewards for those who rise to the challenge.
Path of Exile 1: Legacy of Phrecia Event Date and Time
- Start Date: February 20, 2025 – 12 PM PST
- End Date: March 23, 2025 – 1 PM PDT
- Platforms: PC & Consoles
- Modes: Standard, Hardcore, SSF, Hardcore SSF, and Ruthless
This event is not voided, meaning all items and characters will transfer to their respective leagues once it concludes. However, upon migration, characters’ Ascendancy points will be respecced and reassigned to core Ascendancy classes.
New Ascendancy Classes & The Idol System
Forget what you know—Legacy of Phrecia replaces all 19 familiar Ascendancies with fresh, powerful alternatives:
- Ranger: Daughter of Oshabi, Whisperer, Wildspeaker
- Marauder: Antiquarian, Behemoth, Ancestral Commander
- Shadow: Surfcaster, Servant of Arakaali, Blind Prophet
- Witch: Harbinger, Herald, Bog Shaman
- Duelist: Gambler, Paladin, Aristocrat
- Templar: Architect of Chaos, Polytheist, Puppeteer
- Scion: Scavenger
As for the Atlas Passive Tree, it has been replaced with the Idol system for this event. Instead of passive points, players will discover Idols, which can be slotted into the Map Receptacle UI to modify maps and enhance their endgame experience.

How to Join
When the event starts, simply create a new character in Standard or Hardcore Legacy of Phrecia from the Character Selection screen. Want more of a challenge? Select SSF or Ruthless modes.
