QNAP Launches Affordable QuNAS Lineup with 8-Core Intel Twin Lake CPU

NAS lineup

QNAP, a company known for its network storage devices, has introduced a new budget-friendly lineup called QuNAS in China. These devices use a powerful 8-core Intel Twin Lake processor and offer plenty of storage space, making them great for home users and small offices.

The QuNAS series includes three models: the Qu405 with four drive bays, the Qu605 with six, and the Qu805 with eight. Each can hold multiple hard drives for storing files, photos, or videos. They come with up to 16GB of fast DDR5 memory and two M.2 slots for speedy SSD storage. The flagship Qu805 model measures 165 x 217 x 285 mm and uses a 150W power adapter.

The devices are powered by an Intel Core 3 N355 processor, which has eight cores and can reach speeds up to 3.9GHz while using only 15W of power. This makes it strong enough for everyday tasks without raising electricity bills. For those wanting a cheaper option, QNAP offers “Lite” versions with a 4-core Intel N150 processor, which is less powerful but still good for basic needs.

The QuNAS lineup supports dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for fast internet connections, three USB 3.2 ports (including one USB-C), and an HDMI 2.1 port for 4K video output. These features make it easy to connect to networks, external drives, or TVs.

Pricing and availability outside China are not yet announced, but the QuNAS series is designed to offer good performance at a lower cost compared to other QNAP models like the TS-1655 or TS-855X. It’s a solid choice for anyone needing reliable storage without spending too much.
