The insider Dusk Golem has expressed his enthusiasm for the still unannounced Resident Evil 8 recently. He looks forward to the announcement, which could shock fans as it is said to be the darkest and most gruesome game made in the series.
Resident Evil 8 is reportedly under development for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. The publication should be planned for 2021, according to the insider. Officially, Capcom has so far neither confirmed nor denied these rumors from quite reliable insiders.
Today, the insider Dusk Golem brought some information about the game via his Twitter account. In the tweet, he first addressed a new title of Silent Hill, about which he has nothing more to say than he said before. Regarding Resident Evil 8, he commented: “RE8 I’m excited for the reveal, it’s by far the darkest & most gruesome RE yet. Get ready for some of the most disturbing enemy designs in the RE series.”
I don't know much on Silent Hill I haven't shared, but its apparently its revealed soon so I'm looking forward to it. I still believe it from what I was shown, but I do have a healthy skeptic in me.

Regarding the villains in RE8, he confirmed that there will be more than one antagonist in the title: “There’s more than one villain, and the status of this is changing a bit. There’s one unconfirmed thing I heard I’ll throw at you involving a guy named Alan, I’m partially sharing that bit to stir the kettle some I admit though.”

In any case, the hint that the title could be announced soon suggests that Resident Evil 8 might appear in the coming year. However, publication as a next-gen launch title could not be ruled out. The unveiling events of Sony and Microsoft are just around the corner.
While it is already known that both PS5 and Xbox Series X will be available in stores by Christmas 2020, the exact unveiling plan is not yet known. Likewise, details on pricing and the exact release dates are still pending. You can check all news regarding Resident Evil 8 at this link.
