Despite the fact that Capcom has not yet confirmed that it is working on a new main saga of Resident Evil series, it seems that Resident Evil 8 will release sometime in January 2021, according to a well-known leaker of the franchise.
Today we have known a new detail about the possible release date of Resident Evil 8: the insider, Dusk Golem, who has already leaked most of the details of the new title of Capcom, has posted on his personal Twitter account that the company intends to release Resident Evil 8 in January 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
However, this information could be changed by the current situation derived from the global coronavirus pandemic, which could somehow delay the launch of this new video game in the zombie saga.
I guess I can share this before a nap. RE8 was supposed to be released next January, to see if that holds true due to the change in workflow due to world Corona circumstances this year though. My guess is the release will end up being in the late January-March territory.

The insider is aware of this situation and assures that Capcom would be working on maintaining that launch window, personally betting that Resident Evil 8 would launch in the first quarter of 2021, that is, between January (this person indicates that it would be at the end of the month) and March next year.
Some users on Twitter have also asked about some additional details about the new title, such as whether the game will be in the first person or if we will see familiar faces again. Dusk Golem has answered both questions by saying “yes”, and that it will be very similar to the previous installment of Resident Evil 7 but with some improvements in mechanics.
Yes, it plays very similarly to RE7 but with a few enhancements/mechanics added.
