Respawn Entertainment, the video game developer responsible for the Titanfall franchise, has officially confirmed that they are working on three new Star Wars titles. As one of two studios licensed by Electronic Arts to work on Star Wars games, Respawn will now begin development on the next Star Wars Jedi title and the new Star Wars FPS (led by Peter Hirschmann) previously announced by EA CEO Andrew Wilson during their quarterly financial results call yesterday.
EA has confirmed in a press release today, that Respawn Entertainment (creators of Titanfall and Apex Legends) will be working with EA to develop two exciting Star Wars games. The details are vague at the moment but EA stated: The first project is being led by Stig Asmussen, former director of product development and co-founder of Respawn.
According to the announcement, upcoming Star Wars Titles will Include the Next Game in the Star Wars Jedi Franchise, a new Star Wars FPS from Peter Hirschmann, and a Strategy Game via a Publishing Collaboration Between Respawn and Bit Reactor.
No further details about either of these titles were disclosed during this call; we’ll update you with more information as it becomes available.
