While the official release of Wasteland 3 had been announced last November for May 19, 2020, the studio is forced to delay it now to the end of August.
InXile recently announced that Wasteland 3 will now release on August 28, as the developers will need 3 more months to fine-tune the game. The team mentions challenges to be overcome since developers are now working from home, and we imagine that must actually turn things upside down. At the bottom of this news, you can check out the latest trailer of the game.
Through its official Twitter account, the head of the studio of InXile Entertainment, Brian Fargo, has stated the following: “As with most companies, we moved to a work-from-home environment some weeks ago, and that’s of course introduced new challenges that many of us throughout the world have been learning to manage. We’ve been excited to see the Wasteland 3 Beta so well received, but the reality is that with these new logistical challenges our release was going to be impacted.”

While the game was already well advanced, the takeover of the studio by Microsoft will have enabled the developers to make Wasteland 3 the most ambitious and beautiful game in the franchise.
The title will be present in the Xbox Game Pass as soon as the game is released on PC and Xbox One.
