Fans of fast-paced arcade shooting games have some sad news. Twelve popular titles from the old Japanese company Psikyo will no longer be for sale on the Steam store after October 31. The company that produces these games, City Connection, stated that this is because their permission to sell them on Steam is expiring.
Psikyo made these games back in the 1990s and early 2000s for arcade machines. They are simple but exciting: you fly a plane or spaceship and shoot at waves of enemies while dodging bullets. Now, these remade versions for computers are going away from Steam. But good news – if you buy them before the date, you can keep playing them forever. Additionally, the games are still available for purchase on other platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.

City Connection thanked everyone who has played these games. They said sales on other stores will go on, so people can still find and enjoy them there. If you like these kinds of games and use Steam, now is the time to check them out. There are even bundles with many of them for a good price, like all 12 for just over $100.
This comes as a surprise to many players, since these games have been on Steam since around 2020. Psikyo’s titles are loved for their fun action and different levels of hard play. Losing them from one store is a reminder that not all old games stay around forever on digital shops.
