AMD Ryzen 5 5600U Technical Specifications Leaks Out; Features 4.2GHz Boost Clock & Vega 7 Graphics

AMD Ryzen 5 5600U Technical Specifications Leaked

The technical specifications of AMD Ryzen 5 5600U mobile processors based on the Zen 3 core architecture have been leaked, which is going to release in 2021.

According to the well-known hardware leaker @ExecutableFix, today some information about AMD’s next-generation mobile Ryzen APU, code-named Cezanne was leaked.

Thus, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600U is a 6-core Zen 3 CPU designed with a base frequency of 2.3GHz and a boost frequency of 4.2GHz. As for the mobile graphics side, there will be a Vega 7 GPU that will be running at a frequency of 1.8GHz (the Vega 7 of Ryzen 7 4800H is only 1.6GHz), and the Thermal Design Power (TDP) consumption is 10-25W.

We also knew that AMD Ryzen 5 4600U is designed with 6 cores and 12 threads, but the base frequency is 2.1GHz, the maximum boost frequency is 4.0GHz, and the Vega 6 graphics card frequency is 1500 MHz. Based on TSMC’s 7nm FinFET process, OPN Tray is 100-000000105.

This means that the 5600U will have a good boost in single-threaded performance with a 19% IPC increase. Therefore, Ryzen 5 5600U is expected to get 15-20% single-threaded performance improvement, while also offering 25-30% in multi-threaded and gaming.

According to the previously leaked roadmap, AMD is expected to release this series of processors at the end of this year or early next year, using the 7nm process.
