Ubisoft is reportedly preparing to expand Assassin’s Creed Mirage with its first-ever DLC, thanks to a new partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Savvy Games Group. This surprise development comes over a year after Mirage’s initial release and just months before the highly anticipated launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on March 20, 2025.
According to a report from French outlet Les Echos via well-known Assassin’s Creed leaker ‘j0nathan,’ Ubisoft President Yves Guillemot recently approved the DLC project after a visit to Saudi Arabia. The DLC will be funded and supported by Savvy Games, signaling the group’s increased involvement in global gaming ventures.
Interestingly, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was originally conceived as a DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla before evolving into a standalone title released in October 2023. Since then, no expansions have been released, making this potential DLC announcement particularly intriguing.
While the exact details of the DLC remain unconfirmed, the timing has raised eyebrows, given the proximity of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ release. However, considering Ubisoft’s history with post-launch content—such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s crossover event three years after its release—the move is not without precedent.
As of now, Ubisoft has not made an official announcement regarding the DLC. Fans will need to wait for further updates to see how this rumored expansion shapes the future of Mirage. Stay tuned for more details.
