The Youtube channel of Assassin’s Creed was broadcasting the new game’s artwork with BossLogic, where the artist was venturing into the creation of an artwork that finally revealed new details about the setting of the new game. However, the setting was already known months ago and was initially indicated by the name of Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok.

At present, the artwork is finished but it was already possible to guess, at least as regards to the setting, that the new chapter of the saga will be Viking-themed. To underline the concept you can check out the Drakkar’s, the thin and fast ships used by the Viking people, and the weapons embraced by men on the right side of the artwork.

Regarding the name of the new Assassin’s Creed, however, things have come into the limelight. Although everyone initially focused on Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok, it has now been confirmed that the next title of the game will have the name of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Just today a new domain has been registered by Ubisoft which reports the domain name as assassinscreedvalhalla.com.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, in Norse mythology Valhalla is a huge room where Odin welcomes all the Viking warriors who died in battle, where they will be destined to celebrate their victories for eternity. If we reconnect everything to the illustration and go a little further with the hypotheses, probably the temporal setting of the title could be that of the first Viking invasions in Great Britain.
