The impressive pixelart-style game by Matthias Linda, who has been working on his work for over two years, recently caused a stir with its crowdfunding campaign and is now receiving a strong publisher partner. The release schedule remains unchanged: Chained Echoes is scheduled for 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
The plot of Chained Echoes is dedicated to a group of heroes who travel across the vast continent of Valandis to put an end to the protracted war between the three kingdoms. They will visit many places, including plateaus and exotic islands, sunken cities and forgotten dungeons. The game takes place in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as manned mechanical suits.
The title promises a campaign lasting 20-25 hours, quick turn-based battles, the absence of random skirmishes, a lot of trophies (including those that can be stolen or made), a complex system of skills and equipment, a customizable personal airship, and the ability to travel in a mechanical suit.
