Nintendo Switch Online Exceeds 15 Million Subscribers

Nintendo Switch Online

At the last meeting of Nintendo with shareholders, President Shuntaro Furukawa has confirmed news related to Nintendo Switch Online, the company’s online payment game service.

Although the Nintendo Switch Online service did not impress users when it was revealed a couple of years ago, over time it has become a necessity for a part of the owners of the hybrid console. During the most recent Nintendo investor meeting, a couple of pretty interesting numbers about this subscription have been revealed.

Specifically, the President has shared the updated subscription figure. Today, 15 million users are paying for the online games and the rest of Nintendo Switch Online services.

This figure may seem somewhat scarce considering that today we knew that there were 52 million Nintendo Switch sold worldwide. For this reason, Nintendo wants to face especially those fans who do not renew their subscription with new options and offers, although it has not detailed what it is.

During this investment meeting, it was also revealed that Nintendo has no plans to launch another model of the Nintendo Switch this year. Similarly, the construction of more Nintendo Stores in other parts of the world is being evaluated.

Remember that, in July 2019, there were 10 million subscribers. What do you think of this data? Tell us in the comments below.
