During the latest Sony Corporate Strategy Meeting, the Japanese giant has confirmed to shareholders and investors about the presentation of the first games that will appear on PS5, ahead of the launch fixed at the end of 2020.

In detail, Kenichiro Yoshida, president and CEO of Sony, said that the Japanese company plans to present a “compelling lineup of titles [for PS5] soon” in a fairly short time, thus giving further credit to the rumors that they would like to present the official presentation of the PS5, and therefore of the respective games that will accompany its launch on the market at the end of 2020, scheduled for June 4, in a special event that will replace the classic E3 2020 conference.

In addition to that, further rumors would indicate an extra event always dedicated to the next generation console set instead for the month of August, which should act as a showcase for the presentation of further titles coming, at launch and not, on PlayStation 5.

According to Sony President Kenitiro Yoshida, PS5 games are already being created both by the company’s studios and by third-party developers. At the presentation, a new “revolutionary” controller was mentioned, which will give gamers an unforgettable experience from the game.

The head of Sony also noted that during the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for games increased significantly, as a result of which the number of PS Plus subscribers increased to 41.5 million users.

At the time of writing, the Japanese giant has not added further details regarding the highly anticipated presentation of PS5, so we can only wait for more official communications from Sony Interactive Entertainment.
