Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.31 Improves AutoDrive and Photo Mode

Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red has released Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing upgrades to the AutoDrive feature and Photo Mode, along with several fixes. The update is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Mac, and Nintendo Switch 2, following the bigger Patch 2.3 from July 2025.

The AutoDrive system, which lets vehicles drive themselves, is now smarter. Cars and bikes drive more smoothly, pass slower vehicles, and don’t stop at traffic lights when heading to a chosen destination.

In Free Roam mode, vehicles follow traffic rules better and navigate Night City more reliably. The update also fixes a bug where Johnny Silverhand always appeared in the passenger seat of the Delamain Cab and corrects a colorful wheel glitch on the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru.

Photo Mode gets a big upgrade too. Most poses added in Patch 2.3 now work for any character gender, removing earlier limits. Players can also position NPCs on objects like car hoods more easily, as NPC collisions are turned off. A fix ensures poses work correctly for the character Royce.

The patch also fixes issues in quests and the open world. For example, in the “Freedom” quest, the journal entry is corrected for players who choose not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred.” In “Motorbreath,” a missing follow-up text from River is now delivered properly. Other small tweaks improve performance and stability across platforms, including a PC-specific fix for a pink screen issue with Nvidia settings.

CD Projekt Red shared the full patch notes on their website, showing their commitment to improving Cyberpunk 2077 nearly five years after its 2020 launch. Fans are excited about these changes, especially with rumors of a possible anniversary update in December 2025. For now, players can enjoy a smoother and more creative experience in Night City.
