Disney Does Not Want Sora in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – Rumor

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sora

The roster of the recent installments of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is already an issue in itself and the amount of content that the development team has bet on the Wii U and Switch titles has caused fans to hope to see your favorite characters increasing in the title. Every time a new character arrives, controversy is inevitable, but what about those who could not be part of the list? Although not much is known about it, recent information suggests that the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts was in Nintendo’s plans.

Since the debut of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the confirmation of Nintendo’s strategy of increasing the roster via battle passes, one of the characters that is always taken into account in the discussions is Sora, the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts, however, so far this has not come true. Although there are those who believe that the possibility of this happening is distant for various reasons, it seems that it was not so, as noted by Imran Khan, former Game Informer editor, who mentioned in Kinda Funny Gamescast that Nintendo approached Disney to negotiate Sora’s presence in its fighting game.

According to Khan, Nintendo made the proposal to Disney for the Kingdom Hearts hero to join the ranks of Super Smash Bros. – although the company did not reveal the title, it is very likely that it is Ultimate – however, the American company denied the use of the character and preferred to pass by before the invitation. In that sense, the publisher did not reveal the reason or reasons why Disney made that decision.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available on Nintendo Switch.
