There are two methods to download COD: Warzone for free on your PS4. What if you already have COD: Modern Warfare?
If you already have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you do not have to worry, Warzone will appear as a new tab within the main menu of the game (if it is updated to its latest version). From this same tab you can proceed to download the content of this Battle Royale.
Keep in mind that you will keep the progress of the multiplayer in this Warzone mode, as well as the unlocks and advances in the Battle Pass (weapons, operators, customization items) since Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare share the same Battle Pass.
