The King of Fighters XV Update 1.000.0004 is now available for download. The update brings a variety of changes for the game, including a new character, Team Garou. Added characters include Blue Jenet, Rock Howard, and Gato. General bug fixes and character tweaks are also included in this patch. The game is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Xbox One.

The new Super Heroines Team is a variation of the Women Fighters Team. They are composed of Athena Asamiya, who left the Psycho Soldier Team 17 years ago and joined the Super Heroines Team.
Another new team member is Yuri Sakazaki, who was previously a member of the Art of Fighting Team, but was kicked out by her brother Ryo. The King replaces the Super Heroines Team.
The King of Fighters XV is the fourth canonical saga of the series. It is developed by Yasuyuki Oda and features characters from other games, including the popular Tekken series. The game also features the work of Eisuke Ogura, Kaito Kusaka, and Tomohiro Nakata. The game features a new character BGM, a new character victory flourish, and a victory quote.
