In an interview with Buzzfeed, Uncharted co-president Neil Druckmann confirmed that Naughty Dog is done with the Uncharted series. He said that the studio is concentrating on its new multiplayer game, The Last of Us.

During the course of the Uncharted franchise, gamers have enjoyed the story, platforming and action features. Fans also noted the fact that “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” was a satisfying ending to the story.

When asked what the most important part of the Uncharted series was, Druckmann replied, “Nathan’s story.” Although he did not say that the sequel would be possible, he did say that the company is focusing on the next chapter of the story.

The Uncharted series is now one of the most successful PlayStation franchises of all time. With four mainline games and numerous spin-off titles, the Uncharted series has sold over $400 million in worldwide box office receipts.

Since the release of “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s end,” fans have been waiting for news of a follow-up. Despite reports that a “Uncharted 5” was in the works, reports are now pointing to an unnamed developer who could take over the franchise. However, Sony may be working on an Uncharted reboot.

The fact that the company is done with the Uncharted series might have something to do with the fact that it is currently working on a brand-new, multiplayer-focused game. This new game will hopefully have a story that can rival the previous games in the series.
