Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake Could Happen If Fans’ Demand Is High to Capcom – Insider

Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake

Just recently we came to know about the existence of Resident Evil 4 Remake (although Capcom has yet to comment on it) about which we have discovered many details. In that sense, the said project is scheduled for launch in 2022, since Resident Evil 8 is supposed to be released in 2021. But what other projects await us at the hands of Capcom? Apparently, we can’t even rule out the much-desired Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake.

A few months ago, the aforementioned leaker and insider Dusk Golem pointed out that the game was not even in pre-production, and today we found out that it is not in the plans of the Japanese company also. However, all this could change if fans manage to raise their voice to the offices of the Japanese brand, according to a tweet by the insider:

“Let me say if you want Code Veronica remake, let your voices be heard, try to vocalize it to Capcom. After RE8 is finished those people will have to be put on another project, I actually do know Capcom listens to fan feedback more than many think they do, & after RE8 I think will be the most likely time Code Veronica may be put on the table if Capcom thinks there’s interest. There’s a balance of listening and creative liberties. A perfect example is RE2 Remake. RE2 REmake was only really greenlit due to fan demand, & how well REmake HD ended up doing. That said, they took creative liberties to make the REmake 2 they ended up making, which was a gamble, but it’s what the team felt was best. They do listen and actively seek out feedback on how they’re doing, they don’t listen to everything but they do have their ears open. How they make the pudding is their own development of course, but they do listen to feedback.”

Given this, and also noting that the next two years the company is busy with Resident Evil 8 and Resident Evil 4 Remake, Capcom fans have a long time ahead in order to get the developer to consider Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake as its next big priority.

In any case, for the moment we must have patience, as it is worth mentioning that we still do not have any images or official information about the theoretical Capcom titles of 2021 and 2022.
