Xiaomi has slipped the Redmi 15C 5G onto the market in Europe without much fanfare, making 5G connectivity more affordable for budget buyers. The phone, a step up from the 4G version released earlier this year, is already available in countries like Poland, France, Spain, and Hungary through online retailers.
This new model keeps the familiar look of the Redmi 15C but adds faster 5G support inside. It features a large 6.9-inch screen with smooth 120Hz refresh for easy scrolling and viewing. The phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which handles daily tasks like browsing, streaming, and light gaming better than the older chip in the 4G model. It comes with options for 4GB of memory and either 128GB or 256GB of storage, expandable with a microSD card.
A standout part is the 6,000mAh battery, which promises long-lasting power for all-day use without frequent charging. It supports 18W fast charging to get back up quickly. For photos, there’s a 50-megapixel main camera on the back for clear shots, plus an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. The phone also has a side fingerprint scanner, NFC for quick payments, and an IP64 rating to keep out dust and splashes.
Priced to attract entry-level users, the Redmi 15C 5G starts at around €140 (about $165) for the 128GB version in places like the UK and France. In Poland, the 256GB model goes for PLN 699 (roughly $193). This makes it a strong choice for those wanting 5G without spending much, competing with basic models from Samsung or Motorola.
Xiaomi added the phone quietly to its Polish website, following the 4G Redmi 15C’s global rollout in August. It runs Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS for a clean, connected experience across devices. Colors include black, blue, green, and orange for a fun touch.
While not a high-end flagship, the Redmi 15C 5G fills a gap for simple, reliable phones with modern perks. It’s available now at European retailers like Amazon and local shops, with wider rollout expected soon.
