Ubisoft finally announced their next bit title of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will release on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. The latest title of the long-life series will also release on Xbox Series X and PS5. If you are looking forward to playing the game at 60 frames per second on the two new generation consoles, you might want to lower your expectations a bit.
The developers at Ubisoft have neither confirmed nor denied the fact that the title will run at 60FPS. Even though the corresponding statement was only about the Xbox Series X version of Valhalla, we can confidently assume that the statements also apply to the PS5 version of the Assassin’s adventure.
According to a statement, Ubisoft cannot currently guarantee that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60FPS on the Xbox Series X – even if there will, of course, be corresponding optimizations until the release.
The French company told Eurogamer Portugal the following:
Ubisoft has always been committed to exploring new technologies, taking advantage of the capabilities of new consoles to deliver the most immersive experience possible, which is why we are excited to be collaborating with Microsoft to bring Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to the Xbox Series X.
Currently, we can guarantee that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at least 30 FPS. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will benefit from faster loading times, allowing players to immerse themselves in history and the world without friction. Finally, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will benefit from improved graphics made possible by the Xbox Series X, and we can’t wait to see the beautiful world we’re creating in stunning 4K resolution.
We will have a lot more to show you about Valhalla in the near future, so stay tuned for more information soon.
We will probably have to wait for an official confirmation or a denial from the French company whether the game will run at 60FPS or not. Stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, you will be glad to know that a leak suggested that AC: Valhalla will release in October 2020, check more details about it in this article.
