Cyberpunk 2077 Has “Around 75 Street Stories”, CDPR Confirms

Cyberpunk 2077

As you already know, CD Projekt RED has delayed Cyberpunk 2077, so that the game is polished in every way possible. On September 17th, we will finally get our hands-on to play this masterpiece of the developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

However, today we have some good news for fans of this upcoming game. John Mamais, Head of CD Projekt RED in Krakow, in an interview with OnMSFT, has not disclosed how long it would take to complete Cyberpunk 2077, but reported that players would find indeed “75 street stories” in the Night City.

“In Witcher 3, we did the open-world elements very late in the development process when we only had two or three people working on it or something. Now there’s, like, 15 people doing these open-world quests.

There’s a couple of layers. There’s a passive layer, which is the vendors, then there’s the STSs, which are the street stories. I think there’s around 75 street stories. Then there’s minor activities as well.

The street stories are like little quests. There’s story but there’s not, like, advanced cinematic storytelling sequences so much. They’re a way to explore the world and level-up your character.”

In the same interview, Mamais noted that the Cyberpunk 2077 will technically be distinguished by global lighting technology that has not yet been demonstrated to players. John also recommended stocking up with the Dolby Atmos sound system to better immerse yourself in the atmosphere.

Recall that Cyberpunk 2077 will release on September 17 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.  In recent news, it was confirmed that no new content of the game is planned at Taipei Game Show 2020.
