Today, surprisingly, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the official controller of PlayStation 5, which has been named DualSense, ending the tradition of the DualShock brand that accompanied four consoles of the Japanese company throughout these years. As expected, this presentation ignited the hype for the imminent revelation of the new console of PS5 and although it is not yet known when it will be shown, Jim Ryan said something about it.
In a statement issued in the presentation of the PS5 controller, Jim Ryan, president and CEO of SIE, used the occasion to give a clue about the revelation of the design and definitive characteristics of the new console of the Japanese company: “We look forward to sharing more information about PS5, including the console design, in the coming months.” So, if you take into account that the launch is scheduled for the end of the year, it will most likely be in May or June we will meet, finally, with the new generation of PlayStation.
Unlike Microsoft, which revealed the appearance of its console in late 2019 and only has to confirm the date, price and catalogs, Sony still has yet to share many details about the new console. The company has to clarify elements of the new generation so that players know what to expect, although it seems that, with the current situation of the coronavirus, they will have to meditate even better on each step. When will the PlayStation 5 design be shown?
Sony knows that the community is waiting for the great reveal of the PlayStation 5, and it seems that it is playing with the calendar to find the right moment. A revelation that, of course, in addition to showing the design, will also serve to give us the estimated sales prices and, incidentally, the release date of PS5.
