Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection Physical Copy for Switch Does Not Include Game Card

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection Physical Copy Switch

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection brings with it the collection of the base game along with the first Season Pass and the Aftermath expansion, which adds a continuation of the Story Mode along with 3 completely new characters.

The same edition has been available on Nintendo Switch via eShop since last week, with the physical edition slated to release on June 16. However, Amazon has bad news for players of the Big N: the physical version of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection does not include a game card for Nintendo Switch.

According to a Reddit user, a message was sent by him to the Warner Bros Twitter support account asking about the physical version of the Aftermath Kollection. At that time, the company replied that the physical version of the title would include the original game card, along with a coupon to download the Aftermath DLC and the rest of the content.

However, the information was not correct and if we look at the image that Amazon has shared, we can see in the collection box that there is no physical card, but that the game will be completely downloadable. For verification, you can check the image at the top of this news.

So, according to the image, the box art of the Aftermath Kollection for Switch makes it clear that the game card is not included in the physical copy of the title. Instead, players will have to do a full download of the game, which will require players to have a MicroSD card on hand.

Recall that Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection Physical Copy will release on Nintendo Switch on June 16 for €39.99.
