Nvidia has confirmed the release date for the GeForce RTX 3060, which is the same as the one that had been rumored, February 25.
The next mid-range graphics card of Nvidia was revealed at CES 2021, but no specific release date had been given. Now, Nvidia confirms that the launch of the GeForce RTX 3060 video card will happen on February 25, with a price of $329.
The new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 uses a GA106 GPU that is made up of 3584 CUDA cores. The video card has a memory capacity of 12 GB GDDR6 with a 192-bit memory bus. This memory capacity is higher than the RTX 3080, which is curiously being less powerful.
The graphics card aims to be one of the most popular on the market within the mid-range segment, with a performance that could be located between the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 Turing.
The reference model of the graphics card has a base clock speed of 1.32 GHz with a boost clock speed of 1.78 GHz. This model requires a 550W power supply. Unlike the other graphics cards in the RTX 30 series, Nvidia decided not to release the classic Founders Edition version, there will only be custom models in stores.
