According to reports, Palit has registered more than 100 graphics cards in the EEC database. Among them are GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (308T), GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (306T), GeForce RTX 3060 (3060), GeForce RTX 3050 Ti (305T) and GeForce RTX 3050 (3050).
Recall that at the end of last month, Gigabyte also registered its GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20 GB and RTX 3060 12 GB video cards in the EEC database, which you can read about it here.
Of course, the registration of a product by Palit in the EEC database does not in itself mean that it is going to release. Especially considering the uncertain situation regarding the release date of the new graphics cards.
NVIDIA itself regularly changes (suspends, delays, or cancels) the launch dates of new models. In early November, insiders announced the company’s plans to release GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 3050 Ti, RTX 3060 and RTX 3080 Ti video cards in January, which you can read about here. For example, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti was later delayed to the second half of February, and at the end of 2020 NVIDIA indicated a new status – “suspended”.
The delay of the launch dates is also associated with an acute shortage of video cards on the side of NVIDIA and AMD. In fact, there is no need to create competing models when it makes more sense to focus on the production and supply of already announced products.
According to information from insiders, GeForce RTX 3060 6 GB may be released in the second quarter. One way or another, at the moment it is difficult to predict the availability of new models of video cards.
