PlatinumGames would be working on something that would have to do with number four. The studio recently launched a new teaser website. Simply titled Platinum 4, the site only has a rotating logo of the number four.
This is particularly enigmatic, especially since fans expected the studio to announce The Wonderful 101 on Kickstarter today. Number four doesn’t exactly have a connection with The Wonderful 101, so let’s assume the teaser site is referring to something else.
But to what? Well, it’s safe to rule out a numbered fourth sequel, since PlatinumGames doesn’t have a three-game series currently in existence. Bayonetta 3 remains in development, but we know almost nothing about it.
It is possible that Platinum is preparing for four game announcements simultaneously, perhaps some of them will even be sequels to its previous games.
We may have doubts during the next few days, but PlatinumGames has not set a date to make the corresponding announcement of its new title. To date we know that Babylon’s Fall and Bayonetta 3 are the only projects in which the company is working. However, in recent months the possibility of a remake of the first installment of NieR has been rumored, a title that we enjoyed on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In recent news, it was rumored that Microsoft tried buying the studio of Bayonetta. On the other hand, the studio is teasing The Wonderful 101 coming to Nintendo Switch.
