Recently we reported that after four years, a new message has appeared on Crysis’s official Twitter channel, which is a strong indication that something will soon be announced for the famous shooter series. Since then, another post has appeared on the community page and on Crytek’s website for a job posting, so it’s now better outlined the company is indeed preparing for Crysis Remake.
The recent Twitter post isn’t anything eloquent either, they wrote: “Hey Nomad, you’re still with us?.” This quote comes from the first Crysis intro of 2007 in which Prophet raises the player-controlled Nomad with this question.
Hey Nomad, you're still with us?

Thus, the tweet further reinforces the theory that a remake of the original game will be announced soon. Anyway, this seems like the most likely scenario, because it is hard to imagine that Electronic Arts would dare to experiment with continuing the not-so-lucrative third installment, and processing classic games is now a popular trend at big video game companies, for example, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered or Resident Evil 3 Remake.
In parallel with the release of the new post, we have noticed that Crytek’s website is now looking for new people for various technical posts. On the one hand, they are looking for an FX artist who is expected to have high-tech effects, and also a rendering engineer to help the team to work on the CryEngine graphics engine in real-time ray-tracing.
Since the original Crysis was a technological milestone, it would make sense to pass modern lighting technology into its processing. It could also be that the remaster is being made by Crytek, but they are already working on some new projects.
In any case, we hope that an official announcement about Crysis Remake or a remaster will be made soon and that it will finally be clear exactly what they are targeting.
