According to the website Gematsu, they have recently posted a note stating that it has sources that confirmed to it that the Resident Evil 4 Remake is a reality and that Resident Evil 8 is coming next year. That said, the most interesting thing is that they also informed that this game will have support for PlayStation VR.

It should be mentioned that, at the moment, more details about the supposed virtual reality support for Resident Evil 8 are unknown.
