Resident Evil Village Is 60% Completed; Strange Title Naming Explained

Resident Evil Village 60% Complete

Today we have learned new details about Resident Evil Village in advance. The production of the game is going according to plan, and players can count on a title in every respect larger than its predecessor.

One of the biggest surprises of the official presentation of PlayStation 5 was the disclosure of Resident Evil Village. The new title of the Japanese studio Capcom already promises to be one of the biggest premieres of next year.

According to reports by Ryokutya2089, this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine has shed some new information on Resident Evil Village. It was confirmed that the next game in the survival-horror series is already 60% complete, which means that the premiere planned for 2021 is more and more likely.

The new edition of the series is also going to provide us with a much larger area for exploration than Resident Evil 7. Also, players who value fast-paced action will not be able to complain, as Resident Evil Village will not forget about the horror roots, but it is much more likely to engage us in the combat.

We also learned that initially the title was supposed to be released on the PS4 & Xbox One. Ultimately, due to the size of the project, it was decided to abandon the version of the game on the current generation consoles.

It was also explained why the name of the title was chosen with “Village” as opposed to Resident Evil 8, as they want you to feel the village vibe you will be in, which is confirmed to be somewhere in Europe.

In the game, we play as the well-known protagonist Ethan Winters. The main character will once again have to face supernatural beings. We already know that the game will take us to a mysterious mountain town that strongly resembles the locations of the iconic Resident Evil 4. Following the model of Resident Evil 7, we will observe the game world in the first-person view.

In recent news, it was rumored that Resident Evil 8 will have support for PSVR. On the other hand, the release date of the game was possibly leaked by the well-known insider and leaker of Resident Evil series, Dusk Golem.

Resident Evil Village is expected to release in 2021 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
