The Last of Us Part 2

Good news for fans of the Naughty Dog game who are eagerly waiting for The Last of Us Part 2. The creative director of the title, Neil Druckmann, via a series of 3 short videos published on the official Naughty Dog Instagram account, said that the game has entered the gold phase.

“We want to let you know that we have gone gold. So back in April, we told you that due to the state of the world, logistics way beyond our control, we had to push the game, which gave us a few extra weeks to polish and now that we have a release date we submitted our gold master,” Druckmann said.

“And you are going to have our game in just a few short weeks. Normally this would be a moment of celebration. We would be at the office having a drink, eating cake. But we’re all stuck in our homes and I want to take this moment to congratulate the team that has pulled off the most ambitious game we have ever made,” Druckmann concluded.

If you are wondering “what does the game goes gold” means, it simply refers that the game is completely finished and ready to be shipped worldwide. In any case, if there will be any bugs in the game, the development team will fix it by releasing a patch for the title from time to time.

In recent news, it was confirmed that The Last of Us 2 became the best-selling title on Amazon despite leaks. On the other hand, Sony is issuing DMCA Takedowns for talking about The Last of Us 2 leaks on YouTube and Twitter.
